What’s the difference between lab data & clinical data?

Before we dive into the results of our clinical study, here’s a quick refresher on the different kinds of studies we conduct on our products here at OneSkin.
  • Lab Data: Conducted by our in-house team of scientists on skin cells and skin samples, our lab research reveals the effects of our products on tissue health, genetic expression, and other cellular processes. This testing ensures that our products target skin health and longevity on the cellular level – increasing our confidence that our products will deliver meaningful, long-lasting results.
  • Clinical Data: It’s only once we fully understand the cellular impacts of our products that we test them in clinical studies to observe their effects on real people. In partnership with a third-party research organization, we test our finished products on volunteers for a period of at least 12 weeks, then measure their impacts on factors like hydration, firmness, and more.
We also conduct beta testing on all of our products before they go live. A chance for loyal OneSkin users to tell us how the product feels and performs, our beta testing helps us ensure the products that deliver cellular benefits are also enjoyable to use.

  2. Firmer skin: 73% of users showed a significant improvement in skin firmness with an average improvement of +10.19%.*
  3. Improved skin appearance: After just 4 weeks, 96% of users reported that the overall appearance of their under-eye skin improved with the daily use of OS-01 EYE.**

Because collagen is the main structural protein that supports both skin elasticity and firmness, our lab data predicted that OS-01 EYE would show these changes even before our clinical tests were performed.In lab studies observing the expression of key biomarkers associated with collagen production (COL1A1) and degradation (MMP1) on human eyelid skin samples, OS-01 EYE was shown to improve collagen biosynthesis and retention at the cellular level.
